The LBMA is an abbreviation for the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and in January 2024 Chards became a full member of this prestigious industry body.  

Chards joins the London Bullion Market Association  

Chards Coin & Bullion Dealer is delighted to announce that they have been accepted as a Full Member of the London Bullion Market Association (“LBMA”). Chards officially achieved full membership status on 30th January 2024. The LBMA is an international trade association dedicated to ensuring the highest levels of leadership, integrity and transparency within the global precious metals industry.

As part of its membership, Chards are committed to complying with the Global Precious Metals Code, and with Trade Reporting obligations and LBMA guidelines. These guidelines and obligations help to ensure a fair, effective and transparent market.

Ian Chard, Chief Operating Officer, commented, “It is with great excitement we announce becoming full members of the LBMA. Chards Coin and Bullion Dealer were established in Blackpool, Lancashire in 1964. Over the last sixty years they have grown from a local dealer to become one of the UK’s largest online and retail bullion dealers, facilitating the buying and selling of precious metals across Britain and the wider world.
