We always have 1912 George V sovereigns in stock for immediate delivery at very reasonable prices...

The Australian Mint at Perth only struck gold sovereigns for 33 years from 1899 and 1931.The mintmark used for Perth is the letter P and can be found on the ground above the centre of the date.

Obverse

The King's bare head facing left is the design of Bertram Mackennal an Australian born in Melbourne in 1863. The initials B.M can be found in relief at the bottom of the truncation. There are two types of George V gold sovereigns. The first type was issued from 1911 to 1928 inclusive. In common with all early George V coins, they featured a large sized portrait.

Reverse

The 1912 gold sovereign features the image created by Benedetto Pistrucci for the original modern sovereign. St George is mounted on a horse slaying the dragon with his sword, a classical and beautiful design. The date is at the bottom of the coin with small letters B.P to the right.
