The 2002 Gold Proof Kangaroo Nugget 5-Coin Set is issued by The Perth Mint in Western Australia.

Struck in 24-carat gold, this set consists of 1 oz, a 1/2 oz, a 1/4 oz, a 1/10 oz, and a 1/20 oz coin. It has a small issue limit - just 650 sets.

Kangaroos or Nuggets?

The kangaroo coins originally featured famous gold nuggets on their reverse. In 1990 this changed to show kangaroos. For this reason the coins may be referred to as 'nuggets', 'kangaroos' or 'roos'.

Obverse

The oberse features Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Reverse

The reverse features an image of a kangaroo drinking from a billabong apart from the 1 oz coin which has the image of 2 gold prospectors.

Each coin is inscribed with its fineness, year and respective weight.

VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
