Beautifully made in 22 carat gold, the Bridge series of one pound coins includes four proof coins representing Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England. Designed by the artist Edwina Ellis, each coin has been struck to exacting proof standard with a border relating to the bridge depicted. Each set is beautifully housed in a luxurious presentation case and is completed with a Certificate of Authenticity.

  • Limited quantities of only 300 four-coin gold Proof collections are available from each of the individual coin's original issue limit
  • First time offered as a complete set of four gold coins together
  • Struck in gleaming 22 carat gold to Proof quality
  • These coins are British legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.

The complete four-coin series of British Bridges one pound coins designed by renowned silversmith, Edwina Ellis. The coins in this 2004-2007 set are struck in 22 carat gold to a proof finish. 

Each coin is dated with the relevant year on the obverse.

2004 Scotland Forth Railway Bridge - a Cantilever bridge built in 1890, it is west of central Edinburgh.

2005 Wales Menai Straits Bridge - a Suspension Bridge built in 1818 , it connects Anglesey to Gwynedd.

2006 Northern Ireland Egyptian Arch Railway Bridge - a Railway Bridge built in 1851 , located in Newry.

2007 England Millennium Bridge -  a Tilt Bridge built in 1998 , it connects Gateshead to Newcastle Upon Tyne. 

This coin set has an Issue limit of 300 sets.

Obverse bears the fourth coin portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley, FRBS. The coin features the legend:

    Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
