This 1oz Silver Proof Red Dragon coin is part of The Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts range of coins. These coins are silver proof and come in a presentation box.

The Red Dragon is the third coin in The Royal Mint's proof range of Queen's Beasts coins.

Silver Queen's Beats Coins

The Royal Mint introduced a series of Queen's Beasts coins in 2016. Originally issued as a bullion coin, the mint has since started a series of cupro-nickel £5 coins, as well as proof versions of the coins.

The Queen's Beasts are based on the ten sculptures that were created for the Queen's Coronation in 1953 by sculptor, James Woodford RA. Positioned to guard the entrance of Westminster Abbey, the statues featured heraldic elements combined with mythical creatures that represent the Queen's ancestry.

Obverse

The obverse design shows the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark.

Reverse

The reverse features the Red Dragon. It was also designed by Jody Clark.

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
