2018 WWI Gold Proof Coin with Selective Rose Gold Plate.

This gold proof coin from Jersey was issued to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.

It is struck in 22 carat gold and contains 4.58 troy ounces of the precious metal. It is issued with a certificate of authenticity and a presentation box.

This coin has an 'edition limit' of just 20 coins. This coin is issued number 2.

Obverse

The obverse features the fourth definitive UK coin portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley and the inscription:

ELIZABETH II BAILWICK OF JERSEY • 2018 • TEN POUNDS •

Reverse

The reverse features a peace dove surrounded by poppies with the inscription:

CALM FELL • FROM HEAVEN DISTILLED A CLEMENCY • THERE WAS PEACE ON EARTH, AND SILENCE IN THE SKY •

This comes from stanza nine of Thomas Hardy's 'And There Was a Great Calm'.

It was designed by Matt Tindall.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
