The 2021 White Greyhound of Richmond 2oz Silver Coin is the tenth and final release in the exclusive Queen's Beasts bullion range.

These pound sterling coins are exempt from capital gains tax. Each coin contains two troy ounces of 999.9 fine silver.

The Queen's Beasts

The Queen's Beasts are a series of ten statues that were created for Elizabeth II's coronation at Westminster Abbey in 1953. They combine heraldic elements and mythical creatures which form a part of the Queen's royal ancestry. The Royal Mint launched their Queen's Beasts bullion range in 2016. Both the obverse and reverse of the coins were designed by Royal Mint engraver, Jody Clark.

White Greyhound of Richmond

Adopted by Henry IV and Henry VII, the White Greyhound of Richmond was originally the regal insignia of the son of King Edward III, John of Gaunt. The Greyhound was synonymous with the town of Richmond, and honour, naturally lending itself to the knighthood of its Earl. The arms of John reveal a double Tudor rose across a shield, representing the harmony of the descendant houses of Plantagenet - Lancaster and York.

Obverse

The obverse features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of HM The Queen by Jody Clark. The text reads:

Reverse

The reverse features a modern depiction of the The White Greyhound of Richmond, with a shield showing the crowned Tudor rose. The text reads:

WHITE GREYHOUND OF RICHMOND 2oz ·FINE SILVER·999.9·2021

The initials of the engraver Jody Clark appear on the bottom left below the shield.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
