Designed by American sculptor, James Earle Fraser, the coins feature an Indian head on the obverse and an American buffalo on the reverse.

These coins have a diameter of 32.7mm. Supplied loose, you can purchase a 33mm capsule for your coin.

Gold Buffalo Bullion Coins

The US Mint's inaugural 24-carat gold coin was the Buffalo, and it has since become a favourite among gold investors seeking diversity in their portfolios. The Buffalo coin is believed to be modelled after "Black Diamond," a popular attraction at the New York Zoological Gardens.

Obverse

James Earle Fraser's obverse design for this coin features the powerful image of a Native American Indian facing to the right. This depiction is based on a combination of three separate Indian chiefs, making for a unique and striking representation of Native American culture.

The coin bears the inscription:

LIBERTY, 2023 and F - the initial of the engraver Fraser.

Reverse

The reverse depicts a Buffalo facing to the west with the inscription:

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST
$50 1OZ .9999 FINE GOLD

The Latin inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM translates to 'OUT OF MANY, ONE'.

VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
