Queen Elizabeth II

The Perth Mint Kangaroo coin has featured Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on every release to date. We anticipate that the first coin to feature King Charles III will be issued on the 2024 Kangaroo obverse.

Kangaroos or Nuggets

The kangaroo coins originally featured famous gold nuggets on their reverse. In 1990 this changed to show kangaroos. For this reason the coins may be referred to as 'nuggets', 'kangaroos' or even 'roos'.

Obverse

The obverse bears the Jody Clark Australian coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is also inscribed:

Reverse

Designed by artist Ing Ing Jong, the reverse portrays a kangaroo looking over its shoulder against a backdrop of verdant grassland. The inscription of the coin reads as:

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
