Bull of Clarence

The Bull of Clarence holds significance in heraldry as a symbol of strength, power, and bravery. Linked to King Henry VIII, it features a formidable bull clutching a shield embellished with the Tudor rose. The inclusion of this emblem on crests and coins adds a sense of majestic nobility to heraldic representations.

The Tudor Beasts

The Tudor Beasts (also known as the King's Beasts) are a series of heraldic statues, which flank the moat bridge at Hampton Court Palace. The ten statues represent King Henry VIII's Tudor ancestry and his marriage to his third wife, Jane Seymour.

King Charles III Accession

On the afternoon of 8th September, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, passed away at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in the presence of her family.

It was not until 10th September, 2022 that His Majesty King Charles III's formal proclamation of ascension to the throne was made, as the Accession Council convened at St James's Palace in London.

Obverse

The obverse features the first definitive UK coinage portrait of King Charles III. It was designed by Martin Jennings.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
