This 1901 Victoria veiled head gold sovereign comes from the Perth Mint.

Photographs shown may not be the actual coin and may differ in terms of grade, die numbers, design flaws and other minor details.
This British gold coin was minted at the Perth mint in Australia. In 1901, The Royal Mint in London and the Australian branch mints in Melbourne and Sydney also produced sovereigns.
This was the final year that Victoria sovereigns were issued as the Queen died on 22 January 1901. If you collect sovereigns, this is an important portrait to collect.
Thomas Brock designed this portrait of Queen Victoria. It is often referred to as the Old Head, the Veiled or the Widow portrait and was used on the obverse of sovereigns from 1893 until 1901.
