Bullion Sovereigns

2022 gold sovereigns are a great choice for investors who are interested in capital gains tax-exempt gold bullion. The British sovereign started as a circulating coin in 1817 and continues to be a favourite choice with both investors and coin collectors.

About The Prize draw

1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.

2. The 2022 sovereign prize draw is being run by Chard (1964) Limited.

3. This 2022 sovereign prize draw will be in-line with British Summer Time (BST) timezone.

4. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. 

Eligibility to enter

5. The 2022 Sovereign prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age and that have purchased a 2022 double sovereign from Chards between the start and end date of the prize draw.

6. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you can do so and are eligible to claim any prize you may win.

7. One entry per 2022 double sovereign purchased.

8. Only orders with cleared payments will be eligible. Chards must have received full payment by 23:59pm on 05/10/2022.

How to enter

9. The prize draw will open on midday 24th August 2022 and closes 23:59 (BST) 5th October 2022 or once we have sold out of 2022 double sovereigns.

10. You must purchase at least one 2022 double sovereign to be eligible to enter the 2022 sovereign prize draw.

11. Chard (1964) Limited will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

The Prize

12. The prize will be 1 x 2022 Gold Sovereign Bullion Coin.

Winner Announcement

13. One winner will be selected at random by Chard (1964) Limited on 10th October 2022. The winner will be announced on Chard's Facebook page & will be contacted via email and telephone via the Chards customer service team.

14. If the winner does not respond to the win within 31 days, they will lose their right to the prize, and Chard (1964) Limited reserves the right choose and notify a new winner.

15. Chard (1964) Limited may ask you to take part in publicity relating to the prize draw, but you don’t have to agree to this.

Delivery of the prize

16. Once the winner is announced, there is two different ways that you can receive your 2022 Sovereign.

  • If the winner is local to our Chards premises and wishes to collect the 2022 sovereign, they can by traveling to our showroom. However, the winner must provide two forms of Identification to receive the 2022 sovereign bullion coin.
  • The second way is for the winner who is based outside the United Kingdom or not local to Chards. If based outside the UK or not local, you will receive free delivery of the 2022 sovereign bullion coin. This will be hassle free and arranged by Chards (1964) Limited.

Data protection and publicity

17. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by Chard (1964) Limited for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice. All personal information shall be used in accordance with Chard's Privacy Notice.

18. The winner agrees to the release of their first and last name to be announced on our social media platforms, (Facebook) and website if they win the sovereign.

19. Chard (1964) Limited does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, Chard (1964) Limited does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.

General

20. Chard (1964) Limited reserves the right to cancel the prize draw if in an unlikely scenario that:

  • There is a legal or regulatory reason.
  • Or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

21. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22. Chards staff and associates will not be able to enter this 2022 sovereign prize draw.

23. The 2022 Double Sovereign coin premiums will not increase but could decrease during this prize draw.
