The Complete Victoria Young Head Sovereign Collection
We offer an instant collection of all 17 different dates of young head St. George gold sovereigns issued for Victoria. There are seventeen years for which they were issued from 1871 to 1887 inclusive.
Some dates of Victoria can be quite difficult to find in better grades. For either the gold bullion investor wishing to get a little extra excitement, or the collector in a hurry, we can offer you a solution, and save you money.
Our complete collection costs considerably less than buying each coin individually. This particular offer ignores the different mintmarks, concentrating solely on dates.
Obverse
On the obverse of each coin, you'll find the young head portrait of Queen Victoria, engraved by the renowned engraver William Wyon. These coins also display a range of mint marks denoting their respective issuance locations.
Reverse
The reverse of each coin features St George slaying the dragon. This was designed by Benedetto Pistrucci and was first used on the modern sovereign in 1817.
