Augustus Saint-Gaudens - famous American Sculpter is the designer of this coin. It features Lady Liberty's hair blowing backwards whilst she holds a torch and an olive branch, both are iconic within American society.

The reverse of the Eagle coin, designed by Miley Busiek shows a large male eagle grasping onto an olive branch whilst overlooking a nest containing a female eagle and her small hatchlings.
