Gold Queen's Beasts Coins
The Queen's Beasts are a series of ten statues that were created for Elizabeth II's coronation at Westminster Abbey in 1953. They combine heraldic elements and mythical creatures which form a part of the Queen's royal ancestry. The Royal Mint launched their Queen's Beasts bullion range in 2016. The unicorn coins are the fourth in the series. The first coin featured a lion. The coins have a face value of £100.
The series will feature 10 different designs, and run up until 2021.

The obverse of the Queen's Beasts lion bears Jody Clark's fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
