The 2008 Royal Shield of Arms
In 2008, we saw the transfomation of the circulating defenitive coin series from individual designed coins to a shield incoporating all the coin denominmations. The Royal Shield of Arms obverse design was designed by Mathew Dent. The reverse designs for the 2008 Royal Mint, Royal Shield of Arms Proof Set, when arranged properly depict the namesake of the set, the Royal Shield of Arms.
Obverse
The obverse bears the fourth definitive UK coin portrait of Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The coin bears the legend:

Reverse
The reverse designs, when arranged properly, depict the namesake of the set, the Royal Shield of Arms. This was designed by Royal Mint artist, Matthew Dent.
