These coins are produced on a mint-to-order basis, meaning the Perth Mint will produce the coins throughout the year. Once they begin 2019 production, they will release the mintage figures of the 2018 lunar coins.

Obverse

The fourth coinage effigy of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of the coin. This was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Reverse

The gold coin shows a Labrador Retriever standing next to a pine tree. Again, the Chinese character for ‘dog’ and the text ‘Year of the Dog’ are displayed on the coin. The Perth Mint ‘P’ mintmark can be found on the left side of the coin.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
