Struck from 24 carat gold (0.9999 fineness), the Canadian Maple leaf 1 oz coin is a popular product with investors worldwide.

Why is a maple leaf a symbol of Canada?
The maple leaf tree is known for its vibrant autumn colours and is native to the eastern areas of Canada. In the 19th century, settlers made the maple leaf the national symbol of Canada. It is still used on the national flag today.

Obverse
The obverse of the coin includes the Canadian portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The inscription reads:

The reverse features an engraving of Canada's national emblem, the Maple leaf, together with the inscription:
