The 2018 Year of the Dog 10kg Silver Coin produced by The Perth Mint.
This massive bullion coin contains 321.51 troy ounces of silver and is the largest silver bullion coin we stock!
This 10 kilo coin is a collector's piece, which carries a higher premium than the 1kg version of the coins. Only 100 of the 10kg coins were produced, with each coin coming in a protective capsule.
Please note that this coin has some very minor toning, which is a natural process.
The Perth Mint Lunar Coin Series began in 1996. Each coin celebrates a different Chinese zodiac sign meaning the cycle lasts for a total of 12 years.
These bullion coins have proven to be highly collectable, with most sizes selling out quickly.
The obverse is the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the portrait as used on the previous dates of series 2 lunar coins.
The Chinese character for ‘dog’ appears next to some Chinese peony flowers. The peony is the unofficial Chinese National Flower. It stands as a symbol of spring and female beauty and reproduction. It also represents richness, honour and high social class. It is a favored flower for the 12th wedding anniversary. ‘Year of the Dog’ is written underneath. The Perth Mint mintmark appears on the right of the design.

These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
