This 2020 One Kilo Silver 30th Anniversary Kookaburra is the largest coin in the 2020 kookaburra series.
The coins feature a unique kookaburra reverse, as well as a special 30th anniversary obverse design, making this coin particularly collectable.
These 99.99 fine silver coins each contain 1 kilo of silver (32.151 troy ounces). Each coin comes in a protective capsule.
The kookaburra coins were first introduced in 1990. In its first year, the 300,000 issue limit of the coins was oversubscribed by more than five times, and supplies ran out on the first day of issue.
These coins have remained a firm favourite with collectors, partially due to the high production standards of the bullion coins from The Perth Mint.
The special edition obverse shows a kookaburra on a tree stump. This was designed by Stuart Devlin, and first appeared on the 1990 coins.
The Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II can be found at the top of the coin. The text reads:-
ELIZABETH II
AUSTRALIA
30 DOLLARS

The reverse was designed by Jennifer McKenna. The coin shows a kookaburra on top of a roof, with rays of sun in the background.
