This is the 2020 Quintuple Sovereign from The Royal Mint. The coin features a special cypher mint mark to celebrate the 200th anniversary since the death of King George III. The reverse of the coin shows the iconic St. George and the Dragon design.
The coins have a mintage of just 355, the lowest mintage of the 2020 Sovereign Collection. Each coin is issued in a wooden presentation box with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The modern sovereign was introduced in 1817 and has been issued most years since. The coins continue to be highly sought after by investors and collectors alike.
These proof coins are struck to a much higher standard than bullion coins. The blanks are struck up to 6 times each in order to give the coins the very best finish.
The obverse of the coins feature the Jody Clark fifth coinage effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
The text reads:
ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REGINA FID DEF
The reverse shows the iconic St. George and the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci. This design has been used since 1817 on the reverse of most dates of Sovereigns, with a few exceptions. The Royal Mint have digitally remastered them using the original tooling.
To the right of the date you can find a royal cypher mint mark. This commemorates the 200th year since the death of King George III.

Gold investment products are VAT free. Silver investment products are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated.
All investment products are based on the live precious metal price. Prices will be fixed once the item has been added to the basket and recalculates just before checking out.
If your product is not a graded coin and is considered a bullion item, it should be noted that these are bought and sold on low premiums over their precious metal content and not solely for aesthetic purposes; therefore, some products may have edge knocks and/or marks. These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
