The 2024 King Charles III Base Metal Annual 13-Coin Set is manufactured by The Royal Mint in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition and features five new commemorative designs highlighting iconic figures and places from British history.
In addition, this set includes the eight official definitive coins of 2024, showcasing the diverse flora and fauna of the United Kingdom, reflecting King Charles III's personal dedication to nature and environmental conservation.
This set is ideal for collectors, as the Salmon 50p is the rarest 50p in circulation, with a low mintage of only 200,000, surpassing the iconic Kew Gardens 50p, which has a mintage of 210,000.
However, this set includes the Atlantic 50p Salmon in BU condition, meaning these coins have never been in circulation and are of superior quality compared to standard circulated coins.

This 2024 United Kingdom base metal bu annual coin set includes five new commemorative coin designs engraved by several of the most talented Royal Mint engravers.
The coins listed below include the Buckingham Palace £5 coin, the Sir Winston Churchill £2 coin, The National Gallery £2 coin, the 200 Years of The Royal National Lifeboat Institution 50 pence coin, and the Team GB & Paralympics GB 50 pence coin.
In The 2024 UK annual coin set, eight of the reverse designs capture the diverse flora and fauna of the United Kingdom. Each of these designs is expertly engraved to depict various animals, including some that are endangered, as well as plants from all four nations.
These designs not only pay homage to the rich biodiversity of the UK but also reflect King Charles III's profound passion for conservation.
Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) coins are newly minted coins that have never been in circulation. They are considered to be in better condition than typical 'normal' bullion coins but not as great as proof condition coins. BU coins are created for collectors seeking hand-finished dies to ensure sharper, more pristine images of the coin designs. Collectors can expect to pay higher premiums for these coins from dealers due to their higher condition compared to bullion coins, but the premiums will be lower than those of proof condition coins.
Each coin showcases HM King Charles III's uncrowned portrait on the obverse side. Martin Jennings, the designer, created this as the first official definitive portrait of King Charles III to be featured on British coinage during his reign.
Below, you will find every reverse design featured in The 2024 United Kingdom base metal BU annual coin set, along with their denominations.
