400 oz Gold Bullion Good Delivery Bar

These investment-grade Gold Bullion Good Delivery Bars are London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) approved 400 oz gold bars selected from a variety of LBMA-approved refiners, containing approximately 12.5 kilograms of pure, 24 carat gold. Each Good Delivery bar meets LBMA's strict guidelines to ensure the highest quality of bullion bars.

Investors should anticipate slight variations in the weight of each Good Delivery Bar, typically within a few ounces, as each bullion bar is cast individually. It's important to note that London Good Delivery gold bars can weigh between 350 troy ounces (10.9 kilograms) and 430 troy ounces (13.4 kilograms). You will only pay for the exact metal weight of the ordered bar, plus the premium.

Please Note: Due to the size of these investment gold bars, they must must be pre-ordered as they are produced upon request. Typically, the lead time for manufacturing these bars can take up to several weeks. For more information on how to order this bar, please get in contact with us.

If you're looking for more immediate gold bar options, we recommend our range of 1 kilo gold bullion bars, that are always readily available for low premiums.

Gold Good Delivery Bars

The trapezoid bars seen in films are representative of what are known as London Good Delivery Bars. The strict criteria for acceptance of these is set by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), which demands strict standards of purity, quality and appearance.

An LBMA accreditation is highly valued and a removal off the Good Delivery List of approved refiners can have serious implications for any substandard producer.

LBMA's Rules for Good Delivery Bars

  • Trapezoidal so that it can be easily and safely stacked
  • Free from surface cavities, cracks, holes or blisters
  • Flat and smooth (although not necessarily having a mirror-like finish)
  • Of general good appearance, with no attempts to conceal defects

The general specifications for these bars include a weight ranging between 350 and 430 fine troy ounces, a minimum fineness of 999.5 or a maximum of 999.9, and the following dimensions

  • Length (Top): 250 mm+/- 40 mm.
  • Undercut* range: 5-25 degrees
  • Width (Top): 70 mm +/- 15 mm.
  • Undercut*: 5-25 degrees
  • Height: 35 mm +/- 10 mm

If your product is not a graded coin and is considered a bullion item, it should be noted that these are bought and sold on low premiums over their precious metal content and not solely for aesthetic purposes; therefore, some products may have edge knocks and/or marks. These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
