These 2012 Elizabeth II Gold Proof Sovereigns were minted by the Royal Mint. The stylised interpretation of St George slaying the dragon appears on the reverse. The special design was sculpted by British Sculptor, Paul Day to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
Slabbed and graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as a PF-70 on the Sheldon Scale, the highest grade that a coin can obtain. It is worth noting that these coins are also ULTRA CAMEO which means there is a high level of contrast between the matte and mirror finishes on the design.
Struck in 22 carat gold (0.9167 fineness), contains 0.2354 troy ounces of the precious metal, and weighs 7.98 grams.
These coins are exempt from Capital Gains Tax and are VAT Free.

The year 2012 marked the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It celebrated her majesty's fantastic achievement of 60 years on the throne.
The perfect coin, as minted. Has no trace of wear, handling, scratches or contact with other coins from a (5x) magnification.
The obverse features the fourth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II which was sculpted by British Sculptor, Ian Rank-Broadley. The engraving displays a mature portrait of the Queen wearing the Queen Mary button stud pearl earrings and the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The coin also bears the initials of Ian-Rank Broadley under the portrait, and an inscription on the legend which reads as:

The reverse features the special design of St George slaying the dragon on the reverse, as designed by Paul Day. The coins include the initials "PJD" under the horse's hoof, and the issue date "2012" under the dragon.
