Obverse
The obverse features the Jody Clark's fifth definitive UK coin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin bears the inscription ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 2 POUNDS.
Reverse
The reverse was designed by the Royal Mint artist, David Lawrence. Britannia is shown wearing a centurion helmet, with the floral emblems of Britain on it. These include the English rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh leek and Irish shamrock.
