Elizabeth II Sapphire Jubilee - 65th Anniversary of Her Accession

On 6th February 1952, Elizabeth was informed, whilst on holiday in Kenya, of the death of her father, King George VI and that she was now Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. On the 6th February 2017, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 65th anniversary of her accession to the throne. This anniversary is known as the Sapphire Jubilee and has been commemorated by the Sapphire Jubilee Crown. We take a look at sixty five years of Elizabeth II on coins in the following section
