Synopsis

At Chards we do everything we can to ensure you receive your delivery. In rare instances there may be an issue with the delivery company. To help our loyal customers better understand Chard's delivery process we have put together this blog.

Is there such thing as a perfect carrier?

It is important to note that unless otherwise stated, all your deliveries from Chards are fully insured.

In our opinion at Chards, there is no such thing as the 'perfect carrier' as many issues can occur such as the following:

  • Late deliveries.
  • Goods delivered in poor conditions.
  • Competitive Pricing.
  • Delayed customs clearance.
  • Poor customer service.
  • Frequent service issues.
  • Lack of communication.
  • Lost or stolen packages.
  • Strikes.
  • Having to stay at home at inconvenient time to receive goods.

Delivery Problems FAQ's

We recommended that before purchasing any coins/bullion, customers should review our Delivery FAQ's.

Who are Chard's couriers?

  • Domestic Delivery - For domestic deliveries we use Royal Mail.
  • Distance Buy-ins - We use DPD for our Distance Buy In Service
  • International - For international deliveries we use Royal Mail, Parcelforce and for certain countries, UPS.

Brinks Delivery Pros and Cons

  • Pros of using Brinks for Delivery - Brinks has over 160 years of experience in transporting valuables around the globe. Also, Brinks enables the ability to track your precious metals from anywhere and at any time.
  • Cons of using Brinks for Delivery - Brinks is very expensive and, in many cases, it could cost over £1000 extra than traditional delivery couriers. Additionally, Brinks may only deliver after a complete site survey and risk assessment.

What Countries Do Our Couriers Not Deliver To?

  • France  - Due to French Legislation, we are unable to send gold, silver, or any other precious metals to France.
  • Malaysia - Requires a declaration signed by the customer.
  • Saudi Arabia  - Requires a declaration signed by the customer.
  • Any countries which don't allow money to be sent through the postal network. A full list can be found here.
